NFL Kind Of Approves Social Media
The NFL announced today that it will allow players to use social media networks with on stipulation – that it’s not during games. All football personnel from the players, coaches, and the water boy can use Facebook, Twitter, and everything in between up to 90 minutes before the start of the game and then after the media interviews following a game. In other words, when all the news of the game is old news.
There has been a lot of controversary of late with the Apple App Store approval process. So much so that the federal government is looking into why some recent applications (specifically Google Voice) don’t get the approval.
The HTC Touch Pro2 is on it’s way to America! This is a powerful Windows Mobile business phone that has received great reviews overseas. T-Mobile was first to make the announcement today followed by Sprint. The phone will be available on all four major carriers here in the U.S.

After spending the last two days creating this new blog site as part of Rockland USA’s redirection of efforts I spent a few hours looking over the site. I wanted to experiment with new ways of creating interaction of each blog article and display those numbers on the site. It has been my experience with celebrity blogging that people on Twitter would comment on the article as a tweet, but not comment on the WordPress site itself. One of my Sunday morning Twitter rituals is to unfollow all those who have decided to unfollow me. I am one of the few that subscribe to the reciprocation theory of Twitter – if you follow me I will follow you in return or visa versa. However, many people seem to take advantage of this just to get you to follow in return only to unfollow you later once they got your follow. On this particular morning I have over 2,000 to unfollow. With not even a week having passed since Microsoft confirmed an Xbox 360 price cut and their intention to phase down their 360 models to just the Arcade and Elite, could they already be planning to introduce a new 360 model with even more hard drive space? According to listings from Amazon Germany and South African retailer BT Games, that may be a yes.
It’s hard to believe that a company like YouTube can’t make a profit. Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion just three years ago. Sure the site is the dominant player in video and user generated content, but when will this translate to profits for the investors?

It’s no secret that I have thousands of ‘friends’, ‘followers’, and ‘stalkers’ on the various social networking sites. Sure, many I do not know that well (or at all for that matter), but I do take the time to read as many updates from my net friends as time permits.
