Believe it or not, many people are with out cable or their dish service due to the major snowstorm that struck the mid-atlantic region over the weekend. That said, many are asking how they can watch the Super Bowl even if it isn’t in hi-def. Yes, there are LEGAL streams that you can watch if you still have access to the internet.

Easy Ways To Extend The Reach Of Your Blog

With the new year a number of new blogs are created partly as a result of a resolution. New bloggers put a number of hours into their site only to be frustrated by the lack of readership and/or traffic. Your blog may start out as a great passion, but that can quickly drain if you don’t get some sort of recognition through comments, tweets, Facebook re-posts, or just the sheer number of visitor numbers.

BlogTV Increases Page Load Speeds

BlogTV has shown some modest increases in viewership and traffic. This has also lent itself to some frustrating page load times for members based on the number of ‘friends’ he or she has. A member with several hundred friends could wait 5-15 seconds (or more) for any video stream page to load and that doesn’t include the 15 second video ad placement if you don’t have a ‘Pro’ account.

Google Announces Free Website Translator Gadget For Webmasters

google-logo1How long would it take to translate all the world’s web content into 50 languages? Even if all of the translators in the world worked around the clock, with the current growth rate of content being created online and the sheer amount of data on the web, it would take hundreds of years to make even a small dent.

Today, Google announces a new website translator gadget powered by Google Translate that enables you to make your site’s content available in 51 languages. Now, when people visit your page, if their language (as determined by their browser settings) is different than the language of your page, they’ll be prompted to automatically translate the page into their own language. If the visitor’s language is the same as the language of your page, no translation banner will appear.

YouTube Questions Validity Of ‘Star’ Ratings System For Videos

youtube_logo_2_2YouTube something very interesting to the public today. This has been an argument I’ve raised before on another blog site questioning the real purpose or validity of the 5 star ratings system for user generated video content on YouTube.

YouTube presented this chart showing the number of videos that receive specific star ratings: one star for when you loathe something, five for when you love it. By looking at the chart below an overwhelming majority of videos on YouTube have a stellar five-star rating:

Justin.TV Upgrades Chat With Enhanced Twitter Features

justintvJustin.TV, a leading video chat/show social networking site, announced some new features and upgrades to their service.

First, they upgraded the process of signing into Twitter even more secure utilizing Twitter’s latest and greatest authentication system. This appears to have made the Twitter chat much more reliable, fluent, and easier to use.

Second, they added a pretty handy new Twitter feature for broadcasters. You can now set a hashtag (#whateveryouwant) for your broadcast channel. Anytime a chatter is using Twitter chat and has opted-in to update their status, your hashtag will be added to the tweet. This will make it easier to follow and connect with fellow Justin.tv users on Twitter as well as make it possible for your broadcast to trend on Twitter.

Google Search Revelation: We Don’t Use Keywords Meta Tag [Video]

Image2There are so many ‘experts’ in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) running around the web and Twitter telling us what we should and shouldn’t do with our blogs and web sites. What better place to get your REAL information than from the #1 search engine service on the web: Google. Why not just ask them what I should and shouldn’t do?

Today, Google addressed a question regarding the header information that appears at the top of most every web site on the net. The question that was raised was, “Does Google ever use the ‘Keywords’ meta tag in its web search ranking?” they asked.

Googles response in their own words:
