FREDERICK, MD – If you’ve been to the mall recently, you’ll see all the soccer moms lined up at the center court where some old guy loves having kids sit on his lap. (We’ll save that whole aspect for another story). Inevidably, you will hear or see some 4 year old pre-schooler screaming at the top of their tiny lungs because mom gave them up to sit on some strangers lap … and then walk away! Now remember, this is after we brain washed the kid into never talking to strangers, never leave our sides, and under no circumstances take candy from a stranger! But, every year we go to the mall, plop our kid onto some dude and let them give a candycane. Harmless I know and one great tradition for any parent. I remember the mall santa that we went to at the Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, MD – yeah, turned out to he was a pedophile and was arrested. But hey, we have a great photo of our sweet kids sitting on his lap for all eternity! Ah, Christmas memories.
